Interactive Halloween Card

Hi!!

Today I show you my first Halloween card of the year. In Spain we don’t celebrate Halloween, but I wish we did, because all the costumes and the candies… it’s so fun! So this year I want to make some proyects to share with my family and friends 🙂

I’ve choosen these fantastic Mama Elephant stamp sets designed by Luli Bunny: Meowlloween and Meowlloween Extras. You know, I love cats!

I wated to make a scene to look like Dracula’s castle, with the hardwood floor, the wallpaper and the family portraits… and then my boyfriend told me: “why don’t you make the portrait’s eyes move, like in horror movies?” and I tought it would be fun!

I stamped the vapire cat on Bristol paper with VersaFine onyx black ink. For the portrait, I stamped the frame from Lawn Fawn “Flirty Frames” stamp set with VersaMark and heat embossed it with gold embossing powder. Then I did some masking to stamp the witch cat inside the frame with VersaFine onyx black ink. For the floor I stamped Lawn Fawn “Woodgrain backdrops” stamp with Memento peanut brittle ink. Then I colored everything with Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers and I used a gold gel pen for the portrait frame.

For the background I used some Graphic 45 paper. I stamped the sentiment with VersaMark ink and heat embossed it using Ranger Super Fine White embossing powder. Then I adhered everything together with double sided tape and foam tape and adhered the front panel to a black card base.

To make the portrait eyes moving I did like a slider card, but I put a tab to move the eyes with the word “pull” heat embossed with white on black cardstock.

You can see the portrait’s eyes moving here.

Thanks for stopping by!
