Hi!
Today I’m sharing my card for the second stage of CASometry Challenge 3. Randomizer, hosted by Anna Kossakovskaya. This week we had to choose a random stamp set and use one of the stamps of that set at least three times.
Again, I asked my boyfriend to select one stamp set and he came with these adorable meerkats from Clearly Besotted “I got your back” stamp set. Initially I was quite happy, but then I had a hard time deciding which kind of card should I make. Finally, I went for a simple card.
First, I die cut the polaroid frame using Lawn Fawn “Say cheese” die. Then, I trimmed a piece of Bristol paper slightly smaller than the polaroid frame to make my scene. I stamped the rock from the stamp set in the middle of the scene using Vesafine Onyx black ink, masked it, and stamped it two more times, to the left and to the right of the previously stamped rock, slightly rotated. That way I got a bigger rock to put my meerkats. I stamped three meerkats on Bristol paper and then colored all the images using Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers. Then, I fussy cut the meerkats, glued the background to the polaroid frame with double sided tape and stamped the sentiment “from all of us” from the same Clearly Besotted stamp set. Next, I adhered the meerkats using foam tape.
I wanted the photograph to stand out form the card front, so I trimed a piece of Canson Mi-Teintes brown paper slighly smaller than an A2 size card and glued it to the card base. I stamped the “happy birthday” sentiment from Neat and Tangled “Big top birthday” stamp set with Versamark ink and heat embossed it using white embossing powder. Finally, I adhered the polaroid picture to the card.
I’m looking forward to seeing the projects of the card makers for this stage! This challenge is so much fun!
Have a nice day! Thanks for stopping by!
