Birthday Card

Hola!

Today I’m sharing a birthday card featurig Neat and Tangled “Big Top Birthday” stamp set. This is the first Neat and Tangled stamp set I got, it was a birthday gift from my sister, and I thought it was perfect for the current Little Tangles Challenge and for celebrating Neat and Tangled 5th aniversary. Happy Birthday!!

I used “Hexastar” stencil for making my background. I blended Abandoned Coral, Spiced Marmalade and Scattered Straw Distress Inks on a piece of Bristol paper. I love using stencils for the background, it’s so easy to get beautiful results!

Next, I stamped the images on Bristol paper using Versafine Onyx black ink. I did some masking to stamp the balloon so it doesn’t look like a donut. I colored the stamped images with Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers and fussy cut everything. I die cut the word celebrate six times using Neat and Tangled “Celebrate” die and glued them together. Then, I press it on my Versamark ink pad, cover it with black sparkle embossing powder and heat embossed it. I repeated the process two more times. Next, I die cut an A2 size panel from black cardstock using Mama Elephant “Peek a frame” dies and adhered it to a card base. After that, I glued the background panel and the “Celebrate” die cut. Finally, I glued the images using foam tape.

I used Glossy Accents on the ballon and on the cake, and Nuvo Ebony Black Crystal Drops on the lion’s nose. I also added some clear iridiscent jewels from Little Things from Lucy’s Cards.

I’m entering this card into Little Tangles Challenge #83: Birthday

and into Simon Says Stamp Work it Wednesday

Have a nice day! Thanks for stopping by!

Love the bright, graphic nature of this card. That background is stunning and so perfectly blended and your happy little lion, cake and balloon are beautifully coloured. So glad you shared this with us at Little Tangles this month!
