Treat boxes for cats

Hola!

Today I’m sharing some gift boxes I made for my brother and sister in law. Well, for the cats that visit their house, because the boxes are filled with cat treats 🙂 I was inspired by this project by Jenny. I love the idea of making a gift box for a furry friend. Besides, I’m super lucky because I was yearning for a milk carton shape die and a super generous crafty friend gifted me one from Sizzix ❤ I can’t tell you how happy I am and how lucky I felt!

First, I stamped the images from Lawn Fawn “Meow you doin'” stamp set on Bristol paper with Versafine Onyx black ink. I colored the images using Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers and fussy cut everything. Then, I used the milk carton die on some Lawn Fawn perfectly plaid Christmas paper and cut out the middle part of the die cut pieces. I ran the upper pieces of the die cuts through my Big Shot using Lawn Fawn “Valentine borders” dies. I trimmed down two stripes of Bristol paper to substitute the pieces I cut out from the die cuts, inked them with Abandoned Coral Distress Ink and with Lawn Fawn Mermaid ink and spritzed some water and dried it after few seconds with a paper towel . Next, I mounted the boxes using double sided tape.

I cut two thin strips of white cardstock and stamped the sentiment using the same inks I used on the boxes. I glued the images to the boxes and made two tiny holes on each box to tie the sentiment strip with some twine.

I’m looking forward to giving this treat boxes to my brother and sister in law! I really appreciate they’re so kind to the cats visiting their home!

I’m entering this project into Lawn Fawnatics Challenge #14: Happy little critters

Have a nice day!!
