Little Fairy Pop-up Box Card

Hola!

Today I’m sharing a card featuring Mama Elephant “Little Fairy Agenda” stamps and dies. These fairies are the cutest and I think they look wonderful on a pop-up box card!!

I stamped the images on Fabriano Artistico hot pressed watercolor paper using Versafine Onyx black ink. I also used some images from Mama Elephant “Sun and Moon” stamp set, I think the greenery of that set pairs wonderfully with the fairies. Next, I colored the images with Faber Castell Polychromos color pencils. I really enjoy coloring with pencils and I must say I gave this paper a try because I read somewhere that it is a good choice for color pencils and I love it! Anyway, I have to practice more, especially hair coloring, because I’m not super happy with the result.

I used Lawn Fawn “Scalloped Box Card Pop-up” dies on a piece of Lawn Fawn pattern paper form “Let’s Polka in the Meadow” collection and on a piece of Canson Mi-Teintes paper to decorate the inside of the flaps. For the grass I used Lawn Fawn “Grassy Hillside Borders” and “Grassy Border” dies on some light green cardstock, blending Twisted Citron Distress Ink on the lower edge to give it some more depth. Then, I adhered these pieces to the inside panels and formed the box.

Once the box is formed, I glued all the greenery and the fairies. I used a thin strip of acetate to make some of the fairies fly, I put some of them on the grass, some others on top of the greenery… I love this part of the process! Last, I stamped the sentiment from Mama Elephant “Tandem Extras” on a white panel using Lawn Fawn Sage Leaf ink and added the little fairy with the magic wand. Although it’s not noticeable in the pictures, all the fairies have Wink of Stella in their wings 🙂

I hope you like this card!! Thanks for stopping by! Have a wonderful week!!
