Party bunnies

Hi!

Today I’m sharing a birthday card featuring Mama Elephant “Party animals” stamp set. I love these cute rabbits having fun!

For the background I used Mama Elephant “Brushed florals” stamp set. This stamps are gorgeous, and getting beautiful backgrounds with them is so easy! I stamped the flowers and leaves with Distress Inks, stamping white pigment ink on top of some of the images for mutting the color a little bit. Then, I used Lawn Fawn “Large stitched ovals” dies on this background panel and on two pieces of Bristol paper. I inked one Bristol paper oval with Worn Lipstick and Tattered Rose Distress Inks. I ran the second Bristol paper oval through my Big Shot using Lawn Fawn “Grassy border” die and inked this piece with Twisted Citron and Mowed Lawn Distress Inks.

I stamped the images on Bristol paper using Versafine Onyx black ink, colored them with Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers and fussy cut everything. For the sentiment, I used Nuvo Embellishment Mousse Indian Gold on a piece of Bristol paper and after it was dried I stamped the sentiment from Lawn Fawn “Ready, set, shake” stamp set using Versafine Onyx black ink. I had to let it dry for quite a long time. If I did it again, I would heat emboss it for sure.

I adhered the background panel to a card base, and next glued the oval, the grass, and the images. As a final touch, I used Sakura Stardust clear glitter pen on the stars on the hats and on the glasses because they are drinking champagne 😉  and added Glossy Accents to the balloon, the candles, the glasses and the stars on the hats.

I’m entering this card into Seven Hills Crafts Monthly Craft Challenge: August Colour Challenge

I choose the third color scheme.

I hope you like this card!

Have a nice day!!

Tiny Ninjas Spinner Card

Hi everyone!

Today I have a card featuring Mama Elephant “Tiny Ninjas” stamp set. I loooove this cute ninjas, I’m a sucker for japanese themed things!

I wanted to make a card for Seven Hills Crafts April Sketch Challenge, and I had a hard time deciding which card should I make. Here the sketch:

Finally, I decided to use these super cute ninjas and this is my card:

First, I used Lawn Fawn “Small stitched ovals” dies to die cut a window in my card base and a big oval from dark blue cardstock. Then, I used Mama Elephant “Cityscape” dies on black, grey and white cardstock and blended Memento tuxedo black ink into the white die cut piece to get a dark shade of gray. I trimmed pieces of yellow cardstock and glued them on the back of the cityscape die cuts, glued the three die cuts pieces and used the oval die on them. Then adhered this skyline to the blue oval piece and everything into the inside of the card.

Then, I stamped the ninjas, gifts, shurikens and the flower bouquet with Memento Tuxedo black ink on white cardstock, colored the images with alcohol markers and fussy cut everything. On the front side of the card I stamped repeatedly the “hi-ya!” sentiment and the shuriken using Mama Elephant Winter ink to get a soft pattern. Then I stamped the sentiment using Versafine Onyx Black ink. The diagonal element of this card is the thread I sandwiched between the spinning ninjas and held to the corners of the card with the big shurikens. Last, I adhered the other two ninjas to look like one of them is running along the thread and the other one is sliding along it, on their mission of delivering the presents 😉 Last, I adhered the last ninja to the inside of the card with a pile of gifts.

I hope you like this card!

Have a nice day!

So long since last card!

Hola!!!

So long since my last post! Sorry!! But I started in a new job and I have not had much time for crafting nor blogging 😦 But I’m going to try keeping this blog alive and continue with my crafty adventure!

Today I want to share some cards I’ve made lately but I had no time to share anywhere. I hope you like them!

Let’s go with the first one. This is a birthday card I made for my father using Mama Elephant “Little cat agenda” and “Make a wish” stamps. I’m definitely a cat person, I’ve always been. My dad always calls me the “cat girl” so I made him a cat themed birthday card using these fabulous kitty stamps. I just love them!! I went for a galaxy background with the cosmic cats jumping around the sentiment.

Next I have a “thank you” card using Lawn Fawn “Let’s roll” stamp set. I loooooove japanese themed things so I had to have this stamp set. I colored the images with Faber Castell Polychromos pencils my sister gifted me on my birthday. They are amazing! I’m looking forward to use them on more projects. By the way, the frame is made using Mama Elephant “Madison Avenue” dies.

Last but not least, I have another birthday card I made for my beloved friend Nora. Nora was my office mate when we were doing our PhD theses and we both have share sad and happy moments. Now I don’t see her everyday and I really miss her. So I wanted to make a happy and beautiful birthday card for her and I decided to use Lawn Fawn “Year five” stamps, because I love this otter. I also used “Beachside” paper collection and the frame is made nesting two “stitched circles” dies.

Finally I want to tell you that I’m super happy with the new Lawn Fawn challenge blog, Lawn Fawnatics! I want to enter this last card into their first challenge: happy birthday.
