Rainbows and Unicorns

Hello!!

Today I have a super colorful and sparkly shaker card featuring The Greeting Farm “Magical friends” stamp set. These unicorn, pegasus and pony are super cute, aren’t they?

First, I blended Abandoned Coral, Wild Honey, Scattered Straw, Twisted Citron, Cracked Pistachio, Peacock Feathers and Shaded Lilac Distress inks on a piece of 5-1/2′ x 5-1/2′ Bristol paper. Then, I splattered some water and dried it after few seconds. Next, I die cut the panel using Lawn Fawn “Puffy stars” dies and adhered the star to the center of a 5-1/2′ x 5-1/2′ card base.

Then, I stamped the images on Bristol paper using Versafine Onyx black ink, colored with Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers and fussy cut them. Since the background is so colorful, I wanted the critters to be white. Next, I used Lawn Fawn “Puffy cloud borders” dies on two pieces of vellum and adhered one on top of the star, and the other one behind the window panel and then, I adhered a piece of acetate behind the same window panel. I stamped the sentiment using Versafine Onyx black ink and heat embossed it using Wow Clear Hologram Sparkle Embossing Glitter. I love the shiny look!

I trimmed down two pieces of fun foam to the card size and used the same Lawn Fawn “Puffy stars” dies. Then, I glued them together, and to the cardbase, so I didn’t have to use tons of foam tape 🙂  Next, I filled my shaker with Little Things from Lucy’s Cards sequins (I used a mixture of Twinkle Lights Sparkly Shaker Selection and Clear Mint Sequin Mix) and adhered the front panel to close the shaker. Last, I glued the pegasus and the unicorn and used Wink of Stella on their manes and Glossy Accent on the unicorn’s horn.

I love this super colorful card. I hope you like it too!

I’m entering this project into The Greeting Farm July Farm Fresh Challenge: Shaker Cards.

Have a nice day!!

Go ahead and shine

Hola!

Today I have a card using The Greeting Farm Magical Friends stamp set. I really love these critters!! They’re soooo cute!!

When I got this stamp set I knew I wanted to make this card. I stamped the unicorn with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored it with ShinHan Touch Twin brush markers and Tiger alcohol markers. For his hair I also used some Polychromos pencils and Wink of Stella. Then I added Glossy Accents to his little horn.

For the background I used MFT Sun Ray stencil with Fossilized Amber Distress Ink. Then I stamped a lot of little stars with VersaMark ink and heat embossed them using Ranger Enchanted Gold embossing powder, the same I used for the word “SHINE” of the sentiment. The first part of the sentiment is heat embossed with Ranger White super fine detail embossing powder. I’m really happy with how this card turn out. I hope you like it!!!
